Bodyweb

Genre: Nu-Metalcore / Country: UK
Emerging from Leeds’ hardcore underground in 2022, Bodyweb quickly established themselves as a band unwilling to stay within genre boundaries. Their sound pulls together the abrasive weight of hardcore, the haze of shoegaze, the chaos of jungle, and the grit of grunge and nu-metal, creating something intense, jagged, and emotionally charged. Their 2023 debut mixtape, train_wreck_simulation, introduced listeners to a disturbing and deeply personal world shaped by spiritual uncertainty, family trauma, and mental collapse. Rather than sounding derivative, the release felt bold and distinctive, marking Bodyweb out as a group with a clear identity and a confrontational artistic voice. That momentum only grew through their reputation on stage. With explosive live sets and support slots alongside bands such as God Complex and Static Dress, Bodyweb rapidly built a devoted following and became one of the most talked-about new names in the scene. By 2025, the band had entered a new chapter, signing to Flatspot Records and revealing an updated lineup. The current formation brings together Naomi McLeod on bass, Luke Tompson on drums, and Tom Hobson on guitar, joining core members Louis Hardy and Ben Jones. As a five-piece, they have now delivered their debut EP, deadwired — a four-track release that explores pain, connection, and the emotional toll of enduring everyday life.
