Redzed

Redzed, born Zdeněk Veselý, is a Czech rapper and producer known for blending rap with metal, punk, grunge, and dark electronic influences. He began making music around age 14 after learning guitar, inspired by bands such as Black Sabbath and Korn. After playing in school bands focused on covers, he moved into creating original material and later launched a solo career, teaching himself drum programming and production. Early on, Redzed experimented with electronic sounds and released his first projects on SoundCloud. His stage name combines “Red” from The Shawshank Redemption and “Zed” from Pulp Fiction. He later launched the YouTube channel REDZED and gained attention with projects such as WHEN I WAS SO PARANOID and MELANCHOBOY1998, where he mixed guitar-driven music, trap rhythms, dubstep elements, and early rap vocals. A breakthrough came in late 2017 when his track “Dopamine” was shared by rapper Protiva, helping bring wider attention to his album ECSTASY. In 2018 and 2019, Redzed’s reputation grew quickly with releases including GERD and BOHEMIAN PSYCHO, plus songs like “Straight Outta Flames,” “Rave In The Grave,” and “Ghoul.” March 2019 saw BOHEMIAN PSYCHO, including the track "Ghoul" with Gizmo, which gained over two million views on TRASH He went on to perform with artists such as Scarlxrd, Gizmo, Bill $aber, and Ramirez, while also appearing at major Czech festivals. By 2019, Redzed had established himself as one of the most distinctive voices in Czech underground rap.
