55 Escape is a Norwegian alternative metal band from Trondheim, formed in 2004. The group originally performed under the name Neon. Their debut full-length album, Closing In, was released in 2007.
The band’s music seamlessly combines melodic vocals, growling, rap-style delivery, and backing vocals, while occasional electronic samples add both softness and density to the overall sound. 55 Escape skillfully merges the musical component with the lyrical one, making their songs easy to absorb — every track flows effortlessly from start to finish.
In early 2010, the band released the long-awaited EP Angels And Demons, consisting of four songs. Soon after its release, the group disbanded. However, in June 2020, a post appeared on their official Facebook page stating that the musicians were planning to record new material.
