The nu-metal band Adam Head emerged from the remains of the disbanded group Aglen. In essence, it was the same lineup, but with one key change: the female vocalist was replaced by a male singer, and the band continued under the new name Adam Head. In 2011, the group released its only EP, The End. They played numerous shows in their hometown and also appeared as an opening act for Tracktor Bowling. As for the music, it can be summed up quite simply: if you appreciate the early work of Korn, Adam Head’s material will likely appeal to you as well. The songs are packed with heavy guitar riffs, low tunings, and, of course, those signature broken, jagged rhythms that make the genre so compelling. The vocals are harsh and intense, charged with a brutal emotional edge that conveys the singer’s seriousness and conviction. Lyrically, the songs follow the tradition of the genre, carrying a distinctly depressive tone. Adam Head’s live performances were a relentless surge of energy and drive, crashing over the audience and pulling listeners into the rhythm. Although their music may recall Korn in some ways, the band still had its own identity, charisma, and distinctive spark - something that, for example, cannot always be said about groups like Flymore. And while The End may not open the door to an entirely new sonic world, fans of Korn will almost certainly find this release worth their attention.
