Elderstaar were a notable part of the American rapcore and nu-metal scene of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Their only album, Sterling Dreams, was released on September 15, 2001, in a highly limited run of just 1,000 CDs, which has made it a sought-after release among collectors.
Musically, the band delivered a dense, guitar-driven sound in the vein of Rage Against the Machine and the Beastie Boys, distinguished by tight, forceful rap vocals and a strong sense of groove. Though their discography was brief, Elderstaar left behind a record that captured the raw energy and crossover spirit of that era.
