Grim Salvo

Grim Salvo is an underground Portland project centered on SLEUTH, the alias of Patrick Jobe, and MOSSBACK, born Spencer Linn. Rather than functioning as a conventional rap duo, the act exists within a broader creative circle shaped by the producers behind ³³marrow, a team that also includes Jeremy Klein. This connection gives Grim Salvo a wider artistic identity, especially since the same musicians are also involved in The Odious alongside Garrett Haag and Austin Haag. The project drew major online attention through the track “Ergot,” which became its breakout song around 2020. Much of that momentum came from the YouTube channel known for pairing underground music with anime-based visual edits and helping lesser-known artists reach a far larger audience. As a result, Grim Salvo began standing out for its ominous mood, abrasive energy, and highly stylized sound, earning recognition as one of the more distinctive names in the darker corners of the modern underground.
