The band STUK, whose name is stylized in some sources as STuK, was formed in late 2000 in the Texas town of Seguin, located near San Antonio. Despite numerous lineup changes, the group remained active and gradually earned a reputation as one of the standout acts on the local metal scene. The band’s discography includes a single release the debut EP Minority, issued by Captiva Records. Psychedelic guitar riffs, tribal drum patterns, and heavy, space-shaking bass lines blend seamlessly with an expressive, rhythmic vocal delivery inspired by the aesthetics of the Latin American street underground. It is precisely this fusion that defines STUK’s distinctive nu-metal sound. Although the band possesses a strong and unmistakable identity of its own, it is often compared to acknowledged genre heavyweights such as Korn, Slipknot, and Deftones. STUK’s live shows are the very essence of energy, musical force, and uncompromising sincerity: their sound instantly seizes the room, driving the crowd to move, surrender to the rhythm, and dive headfirst into the slam pit.
