Bruxism is an underground artist from Bucharest, Romania, whose music crosses experimental hip-hop, trap metal, hardcore punk and post-punk. Built around distorted bass, jagged beats, rapid-fire vocals and abrasive guitar textures, the project treats genre boundaries as raw material rather than fixed rules.
An important earlier release in the catalog is “Border/Line,” a 2021 collaboration with Illinois artist Stemodity. Produced by Istasha, the track brings together two distinctive voices from the darker underground rap scene. Stemodity’s aggressive delivery and Bruxism’s tense, fractured style ride over a compact production that connects trap metal, industrial-leaning hip-hop and distorted electronic sound. The collaboration also appeared on the TRASH YouTube channel, helping introduce Bruxism to listeners following experimental rap and internet-born heavy music.
After years of singles and shorter projects, Bruxism released the debut full-length album Digital Pollution in September 2025. The record contains 20 tracks and runs for approximately 56 minutes. Instead of presenting a conventional rap-metal crossover, it was designed as two connected musical forms: one rooted in punk, metal and post-punk, and another centered on experimental trap. Songs sample and echo one another, allowing riffs, rhythms and melodic fragments to reappear in altered shapes.
Bruxism handled the lyrics, production and most of the album’s construction, while SK3RED performed guitar and bass. Tracks such as “Hyena,” “Brainrot,” “Fluoride Stare,” “Internet Money,” “Grind My Teeth” and “Dig Me Up” move between frantic rapping, punk momentum, distorted low end and heavy live instrumentation. The result feels chaotic, but its recurring ideas give the album a deliberate internal structure.
Digital Pollution is also shaped by its subject matter. Its lyrics examine doomscrolling, algorithmic manipulation, misinformation, political anxiety, digital dependency and the repetitive emptiness of online culture. Instead of offering a simple protest statement, Bruxism uses black humor, grotesque imagery and confrontational storytelling to portray a world where outrage becomes entertainment and identity is constantly repackaged for attention.
For listeners interested in trap metal, experimental hip-hop, hardcore punk and genre-defying alternative music, Bruxism offers a particularly restless interpretation of modern underground sound. From the Stemodity collaboration “Border/Line” to the ambitious structure of Digital Pollution, the project turns technological overload and cultural decay into dense, volatile music.
